Grown on chalk in the Ledbourne Vale since 1979

English sparkling wine, poured where it grows.

The wines

Eight wines from sixteen hectares of chalk

Three sparkling, two whites, two reds and a rosé. Every bottle is grown, made and bottled on the estate.

The estate

Why does chalk make better sparkling wine?

The seam that runs under Champagne comes up again here, half a metre under our vines. It drains in a wet summer, holds water in a dry one and keeps the grapes cool enough to stay fresh.

A year on the slope

From pruning to the first pour

Every job that matters is done by hand, by the same small team, on the estate.

Every vine cut back by hand to two canes. The cellar door closes for the month while we do it.

All questions

Visiting

Do I need to book a tasting?
For tours and lunches, yes: groups are small and weekends fill two to three weeks ahead. For the counter tasting you can walk in, but a booking guarantees your slot on a Saturday.
Can children and dogs come?
Both are welcome on the terrace and the vineyard walk. Under-18s join the tour free with a grape juice from our own Pinot, and there is a water bowl by the barn door.

Buying

How fast is delivery?
Orders placed by 1pm Monday to Thursday arrive the next working day anywhere in mainland Britain. Delivery is £7.95, or free on 12 bottles or more.
Can I mix a case?
Yes. Any six bottles earn 5% off and any twelve earn 10%, across still and sparkling. Club members add their own discount on top.
